CANADIAN BEER DAY
OCTOBER 4, 2023
A day to celebrate Canadian beer and the people
who brew it, sell it, deliver it, serve it and drink it.
A day to celebrate Canadian beer and the people
who brew it, sell it, deliver it, serve it and drink it.
Help make this year’s Canadian Beer Day bigger than the last. Post a photo of your favourite Canadian beer, brewery or bartender on social media and use #CanadianBeerDay and #HereForBeer to help spread the word that beer brings people together. Use the digital assets we have created for you to show your love of Canadian beer. Visit your local brewery, or get your favourite brew delivered to celebrate Canadian brewers.
Canadian brewers directly employ 20,000 Canadians and the sale of beer supports 149,000 jobs across its added-value-chain including the farmer that grows our barley, the trucker that brings your beer to market, the graphic designer creating labels and packaging, your local beer retail expert, to the bar and restaurant bartender and server pouring your favourite pint.
Over 88% of the beer purchased in Canada is made locally and we’re asking Canadian beer fans to help secure the long-term prosperity of the industry by signing on to support measures that will encourage Canadians to return to restaurants and bars for a pint and keep beer affordable for all Canadians.
Stop automatic annual inflation-indexed increases to federal beer taxes to keep beer affordable and stop fueling inflation.
Facilitate consumer access to beer from other provinces.
Ensure all provincial beer taxes and mark-ups are publicly available and may not be increased without a vote in the Legislature.
We will keep you up to date on the most recent events and policies that are important to beer lovers from coast to coast.
